Who is Hard'ack Inc.?

Hard’Ack, Inc. Is a Vermont non-profit 501(c)(3) Corporation since 1965.

The “Ski Area” affords participants free access to alpine and nordic skiing, snowboarding, sledding, tobogganing with a rope tow, lighted slopes, snowmaking, and is maintained by a snow cat and tracked vehicles. The new Greg Brown Lodge is the base lodge for the above activities.

The “Recreation Area” amenities are recreation and wilderness trails used for walking, nordic skiing, mountain biking, and running with sports fields for organized youth sports, 18 hole disc golf course, Marc’s Bark Park, and indoor in winter and outdoor in summer swimming pool.

Hard’Ack Inc.’s Mission:

To honor and emulate the 100 plus years of Franklin County volunteers who established, ran, contributed, grew, and made Hard’Ack into what it is today, a 95 acre recreation area.

To continue the tradition of volunteers by perpetuating and growing first the Hard’Ack Ski Area, secondly the Hard’Ack Recreation Area, and instill in the community the Hard’Ack Inc. ideals and traditions of volunteering and giving back to the community to allow Franklin County citizens and others to utilize Hard’Ack’s assets for free or at the lowest cost possible.
